Would you cut the borla?
Ok, I dropped my car off at the shop tonight, and tomorrow they're going to install my 3:73 gears, 3200 vig torque converter, and a tranny cooler. Now, I don't have any cats on at the moment, but after doing some searching on here, it seems that an Lt1 with lt headers and a borla sounds better with a cat. I have a catco high flow cat, but they said the only way they can get it to fit is if they cut my borla back some. He said for me to think about it over night, and let him know for sure tomorrow. Would you guys cut the exhaust to put the cat in? Would it really make my car sound better, hopefully a smoother tone as well? I mean I like the rumble it has in the lower rpm's but when you get on it it becomes raspy and higher pitched. Also I'm running the borla with no plate. Would it sound better with a plate in? What are your experiances with borla's and LT headers? TIA
