will about a half quart of oil over full hurt seals?
accidentally filled the oil up a little too much when i added a can of RESTORE. and it is abotu a half quart too full. Will this cause any leaks or damage any seals?

ive used that stuff..dont worry about the level, in the 500 miles it suggest running itll be absorbed into the seals and restore cylinder pressure if needed...there are gonna be people that say it doesnt work but it does, ive seen it with my own eyes....
as most of you know SBC heads tend to make cloudy startups...my old sbc heads did that used this stuff never did it again....cylinder 3 and 8 were 18-20 psi below the other six and they werent consistant....i used a can of that stuff drove the 500 miles on a sat afternoon and tested the pressures again..not only were the to low cylinders up but it was a max 4 psi variance in all 8...that stuff does work.

used restore in my v6 and it stopped burning just that little bit of oil
only did it once or twice though in it and it still doesnt burn any
just did it in my z28 now too, same as you, with mobil 1 syn.
i would say don't worry about it imo
like said, the restore will probably be absorbed in a little bit

I'm not going to comment on the additive but the overfill is an issue. It has nothing to do with seals with a slight overfill(1/2 quart or less) but with aeration. Even just a 1/2 qt extra can be whipped up by the crank and cause a loss in oil pressure. You may not see a problem if you drive the car easy on a daily basis but if high RPM is your thing it will be trouble.

I ran Restore in my old saturn and in my moms mini van. I ran a compression test before/after on the saturn and the compression did become more stable.
The Saturn had 130k miles and with synthetics, i got 41 mpg on the highway.
