After I let off the gas, there is a distinct, loud, and metallic "click" that comes from under the hood, on the passenger side. I thought it might be pinging or detonation, but the rpms stay very smooth and the car does not skip or miss a beat. This usually happens around 2000-2500rpms about 1 full second after I let off the throttle.
When I let off the gas, it sounds one marble dropping into a tin can. It happens once, and it is intermittent, only happens once in a while. But if it does happen, it is always after I just let off the gas.
It's driving me nuts! what could it be?

Its weird, because it just happens once.. one big "pop" only after i let off the gas. Hmm. Was just worried that it might be something internal.
If it's ok, I guess its not a big deal - just would like to know for sure. It only happens when the engine is under load, so I can't really "feel" the valve cover...
