My 94 has the same problem. Took it to the dealership and they said the Fuel sending unit is broken so I picked one up from this site. U just have to look out for Parts for sale and you might score a deal.

Don't have pic's of the sending unit but it's the complete assembly that your fuel pump, (inside the tank), mounts to, including the lines that you see coming out of the top of the fuel tank. FWIW I picked up a complete unit including fuel pump for $50.00 at a local salvage yard. I changed the fuel pump, but the wiring, level sensor, float and everything else are working fine.
And BTW and open ground connection will cause your fuel guage to read Full, usually pegged past the "Full" mark. Check your connectors which are underneath the car near the rear axle on the drivers side, basically up in the "hump" that your rear seat back sits on.

Last summer, there was some high-sulfur gas (I think it was Shell) got out to some gas stations that caused many sending units to "lock up."
Shell had to repair several for customers.

yep its just a bad sensor, my mothers dodge caravan gets stuck at full for like 1/2 tank then it will drop right down to 1/2 instead of Full all the time, Very weird

i might check the wires, cause it stays pegged at full, and everynow and then, it starts to drop to a bit above the half mark!!!

You can check the sensor by measuring the resistance as it moves from empty to full. Shoebox (as usual) has the resistance values on his Tech Pages website.
