Track times - cutout experimentation
13.5@103 2.0 60'
13.5@103 1.9 60'
13.5@103 2.0 60' - cutout open
13.4@103 1.9 60' - cutout closed
13.5@103 2.0 60'
90 degrees
85% humidity
29.94 pressure
28psi in the BFG drags dead hooking every time (no burnouts, just peeled out to clean them off).
I posted this in LT1 tech because there's so many questions asking if cutouts gain HP. Well, I answered that question. You do the math.

Re: Track times - cutout experimentation
I have no cats. The cutout is right after the Y-pipe.
I didn't gain any trap speed which means I didn't gain any HP, so I basically just lost low end torque which was shown in my 60' time.

The cutout exits under the rear passenger hump in the floorboard BTW, sorry should have clarified that.

Re: Track times - cutout experimentation
i too saw no gains with my cutout open.
and i have longtubes, no cats, CAI, drag radials, and a catback.
i'm sure a cammed car would see a difference. as a matter of fact, i know a 98 camaro that ran 12.5 through true duals, and 12.2 with dual cut-outs, 10 inches behind the collector. but it has a cam. but the runs were on different days. so...isn't totally accurate.
