Timing ?

Well, my car has been tore down for about 3 weeks now and I need to know how to correctly put it back. I have read about lining the dots up etc. But which cylinder should it be at. Also, does anyone have a layout of the cylinders showing which number cylinder is which.

I am in no way a mechanic so I know this is a stupid question.

Re: Timing ?

Also, if I get the cam and the gear in the position like that with the dots aligned I should be good to go correct.
