Talking who is using the magnaflow #15620 3" S.S. catback?

I searched this very well, and read up on some stuff. It seems they redesigned it about a year ago to make it equal flowing out both pipes. Anyway, how does it sound? I have a flowmaster catback, the older one, and it sounds fricken awesome. But, with 420RWHP and more on the way, the 2.5" is gonna kill me. So, I have pacesetter longtubes, off road y, 3 inch cutout with electric valve, and then I want to connect up a 3 inch catback. The magnaflow is 3 inches, and stainless steel. So, I was wondering how they sound? I want a mellow sound, like a low power sound. I want it semi-quiet, as I dont need the piggies to hear me a mile away! (that is what the cutout is for if I so choose!) So, I want a low performance sound out of a potential catback.. I dont know where to search for sound clips, so if anyone has one for my setup let me know! I dont have cats either.
Thanks!
Cody

I have a 3" magnaflow cat back that I love. To me the soumnd is awsome with my cam (224/236). It's fairly mild at idle but you can hear it when you go wide open. When i bought mine i thought it was stainless then when it came just the muffler and tips were.

I have the exact same characteristics with my 230/242, VERY sweet--get tons of compliments on it. My whole system was stainless...

Was it loud at cruizing speeds? I like a low tone, but I deffinately dont want it to sound too stockish... Just a touch over stock would be what I want, cuz I will have that cutout installed too so if I want loud @ss exhuast I will just open that baby up!

Magnaflow isn't loud at all until you get on it....it is pretty raspy though.

its got a quiet idle and cruising speed sound....but when you get it on it almost sounds like a slightly muffled cutout lol...

I have the catback with headers and I love the sound of it.

Re: who is using the magnaflow #15620 3" S.S. catback?

Even though this is an LS1 car, these two videos are what convinced me to buy this system:

http://www.ls1sounds.com/magnaflow/magnaflow__stock.wmv

http://www.ls1sounds.com/magnaflow/m..._JetHotORY.wmv

The fact that after going from stock manifolds to headers and not hearing a significant difference in the idle and cruising sound...until he punches it to WOT...was what sealed the deal for me.

On an LT1, it's just as mean with less rasp.

I got mine about a year ago, i think its the "old" style but what does the new style look like on the inside? Most of the exhaust does go out the passenger side but its not that noticable. I dont have anywhere near 420RWHP, my car is fairly stock but i have a video in my sig if you want to listen.

The Magnaflow is all stainless, but the muffler and tips are polished. I'm more than happy with mine sound-wise and performance-wise.

if the pipes are stainless, what kind of polished metal is the muffler and tips? polished stainless, polished aluminum, polished what?? And another guy wanting to know if you using cats or not for raspyness! I have no cats. Pacesetter longtubes, Pacesetter off road y pipe, and a 3 inch cutout.

He said he's searched this really well and without your comment, I'm sure he is well aware that many run this exhaust.

He was very specific to the model he is looking for, that apparently was redesigned a year ago.

Maybe he couldn't find information specific to this or posters weren't previously clear enough or did not know it had changed.

They're polished stainless.
