Re: still looking for help W/sc lt1

Isn't there something with the MAF and OBDII cars that when the MAf maxes out the car falls on its face. I have a 95 OBDI so I never worried about. If I remember correctly, ATI makes something to combat the MAF maxing out.

Yep, ATI makes a code buster for the obdII cars. It keeps the high MAF code from setting. Not sure if that is the problem.

A little more info on the symptoms would be helpful. Does it shut off immediately? Does it break up? Will it continue to pull past that only roughly? If it shuts off at exactly 5200 rpms every time, it is most likely electrical. Check your program.

My car was cutting off around 4500 about 30% of the time. I regapped my plugs to .035 (I am running 8lbs) and haven't had the problem again yet.

Tell us a little more info if you can.

it breaks up after 5200 if you shift every time at 5200 runs great has new plugs ,opti ,fuel pump, filter ,injectors ,msd coil, 6abox,it will run past that but not good feals like a clogged cat ,but there are no cats on the car

Re: still looking for help W/sc lt1

What are you running for intake ducting to the blower? Could it be the collapsing "dryer ducting" issue?

Re: still looking for help W/sc lt1

Does it do it in any gear? Will it do it in neutral or only under load?

Have you checked the fuel psi while running it?

I wonder if you are running into any knock.
