Starting trouble
Ok, I have a problem when starting my car, this is not the first time its done this to me:
The car has been sitting for a couple of weeks, I got in and it started up fine, I drove 8 miles perfectly, parked up in a parking lot and left the car for about 30 minutes.
When I got back in and started it, it was running but only at about 300rpm, the whole car was shaking about like it was only running on 3 cylinders, I gave it a bit of gas and it just shook even worse, I kept feathering the throttle but it did'nt help so I switched off, waited a second, then started it and it ran fine, and drove fine on the way home!
This has often happened when the engine was cold and not necesarily after it has been standing for a long time.
Any suggestions as to what might be causing this? Its really embarrasing when it happens. Cheers!

Re: Starting trouble
Ok I've spent a while searching the lt1 tech forums and I suspect I may have a faulty injector(s). I don't suspect the fuel pump at this time as the car usually starts up quickly and runs fine and I have no other running problems including in the higher rpms.
Is it possible that the injector is remaining open after the car is switched off and the fuel drains/evapourates out of the fuel rail? If this is the case, why does the fuel pump not fully prime the entire fuel rail when the key is turned?
Also, anyone know why I don't get this problem all the time, I don't understand how it can be fine one day and bad the next?
Cheers.
