Shift linkage help

Stupid question guys. I'm new to this whole ordeal. I've always been a Vw guy. I have a 93 z28 I gotta yank the tranny out of and as of right now am stuck on this damn shift linkage. There a trick to gettin it off or am I just havin a dumbass attack. Any helps appreciated fellas

Auto? Just what/where exactly is the problem? You don't give much to go on.

Well, there is no shift linkage at all on the manual, so I think it must be an auto.

Ya' never know when there is little to no info to go on. The term "linkage" may mean different things to different people.

There should only be a small bracket for the cable and a nut on the lever. Most important, don't forget to unhook the T/V cable on the throttle body.

Right the two bolts on the bottom of the pan for the bracket and the nut on the linkage arm that's stuck. I ended up popping the linkage off the ball (I didn't know that would do that) and yes I meant auto...seeing as how they're
Are no linkages on a manual. I shoulda been more specific but I was in a hurry and didn't realize. But I got the transmission dropped. Thanks for the help
