This thread was previously started, but pictures were posted much later in thread, this is more convient now.

Looking to rebuild this sucker, any suggestions. Already decided on the 383

Same spot mine broke, mine was jusy a hairline through the crank journal.
Since your in Lexington, you might wanna talk to Dave at www.cornettmachine.com in Somerset. They did my short block for $1600 including assembley, machining, used crank, valves, springs, cam degree, etc and I supplied the parts. This thing is a monster, I couldn't be happier

Not much, just the heads and the block itseld

How did you do that if you dont mind me asking? Did you just launch it hard and it snapped or what?

I have a suggestion....

You might want to replace the crank.....
