It is not uncommon for the metal hose to leak. Battery corrosion causes holes in it. As I see it, there would be no reason for coolant to be on top of the grommet unless there was a leak above the grommet.

that makes sense but there must be a crack that I cannot see on the metal hose or it must be hairline

Yea bro it's gotta be a hairline leak, my oil cooler hose did the same thing n I couldn't find the leak till iv swapped the hose and found a very small crack in the hose lol,I'll get u that piece or reservoir bottle when I go to wreck yard

Ok so I found out where the air is coming into the system it's coming from the pit **** at the bottom of the radiator now can I change that or do I need a new radiator ? And would this make my overflow push water out

Hey bro change the pit piece n see wat happens n monitor the coolant level,if ur radiator is not cracked or leaking I wouldn't mess with it.

I want to know if we can change the pit **** before I pull it out , or if I should just get a new radiator

yes that is what I need the butterfly part I guess is broken and it leaks water out very slow

Are you sure you have the hoses correctly routed/connected? Mixing up the overflow and the steam pipe causes problems.
