open loop mode?

open loop mode?
Good Morning Members,
My lt1 water pump has a temp. control switch that sends a signal to the
computer. I have the stock 180 stat and my radiator fan comes on at 185.
The fan is controlled by a temp. switch installed into a tee in-line lower radiator hose. My car never reaches past 190. Could it be that this temp.is causing me to stay in an open loop signal? It always runs extremely rich.
Thank you

Re: open loop mode?
A scanner (which everyone should have) would easily tell you, but the temp threshold for closed loop is down around 135-140 degrees. I'd consider upping your fan on threshold a little. It doesn't really need to run that cool.
