OBDI trouble code issue

Yesterday I had a misfire on my 94 t/a LT1 that set a CEL and it happened a few times on my way home, I went to jump the pins on my 12 pin connector to try and get trouble codes with my ignition on and car off and all that happened were my cooling fans turned on and my CEL didn't flash at all, any ideas on why this is happening?

Yep, because '93 was the last year the codes could be flashed. You'll need an OBDI scan tool, and they're getting scarce. Or, download the free scan software on the computer diagnostics and tuning forum. Of course you'd also need a laptop and a cable. It's called scan9495.

Hi moparman.Good to see posting.I started with camaroz28 around the same time you did in the late 90's.I had around 2600 posts,(2 or 3 posts actually made sense.)All your posts were great.Somehow when I left the scene for 10 years or so my posts got wiped out.Now I'm back in the game.Good seein ya.Hope this is ok to post here.My02.

I believe that years ago all the posts that everyone had from the lounge got erased in an attempt to (again I guess) prevent post 'whoring'.

Re: OBDI trouble code issue

I post whenever I can contribute. Back in the day, this forum was busy. Sad to see what it's become.

That was the story I got from Chris when I asked why I lost 20,000 posts. But I never posted in the Lounge, except for a very occasional moderation post. They had to have deleted masses of tech posts as well.
