No Spark issue (98 V6 to LT1 Swap)
I did a LT1 swap in my 98 camaro. I cant get it to start. The injectors are pulsing and the fuel pump turns on. I have fuel pressure. Very odd though it seems to make a weird noise coming from the fuel rail. Is this normal with LT1's? And the fuel pump stays on, it wines pretty loud. But i am getting fuel pressure and the injectors are pulsing, i tested them with a multi-meter. But i am not getting spark to the coil. I replaced the coil and it ddidnt help. I then checked further and there is no power going to the coil itself so no spark coming from the coil as well. Is there something i can check? maybe something i overlooked in the v6 to LT1 swap? Its a 94LT1 with OBD2 PCM and knock sensors. I had the same problem trying to start with the OBD1 pcm if it makes a difference. Please help

Re: No Spark issue (98 V6 to LT1 Swap)
Forgot to mention, Madz28.com had reprogrammed my pcm to work with these differences. Crank position sensor, O2 sensor etc... It has all been reprogrammed to work.
The fuel pump stays on forever. If the Key is in the on position the fuel pump stays on... RRRRR>>>>>>>>>>>>> Its the sound i am used to hearing but then shuts off after 1 or 2 seconds. But now its on all the time.

If the ign circuit is open to the Opti the fuel pump will not even kick on, I think you have two seperate problems, check your grounds, should be a strap and pcm grounds on the front of the drivers side of the block (just below the ign module and on one of the bolts that hold the ign mdl down, also check out your grounds on the pass side of the black , a lug about midway down the block has two wire crimped onto the same lug. If the grounds are good check your ign module and its wiring.
Oh forgot to add, Shoeboxs site has pictures of all this for reference as well (thanks again for the site Shoebox)

The fuel pump should turn off after a few secs. I'd check to make sure you don't have any leaks and then check your fuel pressure aswell. I don't know why you're not getting power to the coil but hey might aswell ask....you pluged in the opti harness right?
