New Cam amd install questions MWHAHA
Can I just toss any mild cam into my LT1? I've got a 94 formula and I think it's got a collapsed lifter. So I'm gonna open'er up tomorrow and check the lifters and check the rods to see if they are bent. If so I figure I might as well do a cam swap and get a little more performace outta the car. Would this work?
Xtreme Energy XE256H Hydraulic Flat Tappet Camshaft Complete Kit
Lift: .447/.454''
Duration: 256/268°
RPM Range: 1000-5200
Is this an ok set up or will this not work on an LT1... not too sure how the EFI will like that. Also will need to replace the rockers and if so can what can get that is better that stock for no more than 200?

Re: New Cam amd install questions MWHAHA
A: You need a roller cam, not a flat tappet, the stock cam is bigger then the one your looking at
B: You need a cam ground to fit your particular model LT1 due to the way the distributor/timing chain works on these cars.
C: You should get your pcm reprogrammed with a cam.
I dont see why the rockers would need replacing, they'll last a long long time. At any rate, for cheapies, check out crane's blue racer line, or comp magnums. Some have also had success with 'Scorpion' brand rockers.
