Need advice on running at the track

When to the track today for the first time and it was tons of fun... However, i dont think i did so well.
First run of the day-13.99 with a 108.89 trap speed but my 60 was horrible at 2.5
I pretty much stunk up the track with my 60 foot times all day but on my last run of the day i managed to pull a 2.1 60 for a 13.5 @ 106.48. I dunno but my friend says that with my consistantly trapping in the 106 range i should be at about 13.3 or 13.4. Any input from you guys would be greatly appreciated.

Here is a list of my mods: JBA headers, slp y-pipe,motive 4.10s,160 stat, moroso cai, spohn panhard, spohn control arms, spohn strut tower brace, kenny brown ddsfc.

Re: Need advice on running at the track

You can get into high 12s with a 106 trap speed and a good 60'. I'm assuming you have regular tires, correct? Try them at 24 PSI... you may be able to squeeze out a 2.0 60' and that will lower your ET to 13.3s.

or get some drag radials.

Re: Need advice on running at the track

With 18s your 60' will most likely not get any better than that. Get some drag radials or ET streets (if you're not afraid to break the rear) on some stock 16" salad shooters and your times will get much better.

Re: Need advice on running at the track

yea get some salad shooter wheels and mount some et streets on em and change out at the track......12's should definetly be attainable then. heck I was able to pull a 1.97 60 foot and I have a stock stall and crappy (very very crappy) 2.73 gears with some bfg drag radials.

I haven't used et streets yet......but I just went to the mickey thompson site....and I think this is the size et street you would use on 16inch stock wheels 26X10.50-16LT

Your trap speed is very low for your mods......with those mods I would look for 104 mph or more. Plus it could be weather and a number of different things.
