I'm not exactly sure how long subframes are. But I bet you could get them in a conventional oven with a little fabrication. Also if they won't fit and your going to use them to make money you could just build your own made solely for those parts. It'd be pretty easy. Especially if you can weld/fabricate.

Well, what I was thinkin was getting some 2" boxed steel rods and a piece of 1/4" thick steel plate from the local metal supply store. cutting them to size and welding them in. Then cutting some steel plates as mounts for extra support. I'd powed coat the strut tower brace. thats not to big to stuff in the oven. Where do I find info about powder coating??

The only info I've ever seen about powdercoating was on tv. Never looked for it on the net, I'm sure you can find a couple places. It looks pretty easy to me. Good luck

We made the ones on my firebird out of some square tubing and used steel plates at the ends to weld to the subframes. Took about an hour and I just spray painted them black.

I noticed a difference as soon as I backed out of the garage. Car signifigantly stiffer which I like.

Whats nice is I can jack up the car on them too.

You must have a huge oven.

What would happen if you welded in sub-frames with the suspension not loaded?

You could permanently put the suspension in a bind. All you have to do is put jack stands under the front A-arms and the rear end housing. Make sure they are all at the same level.

I'm gonna weld them in while on a drive on lift . I shouldn't have any problem then. I don't know about powercoating the SFC's but I might use it for the strut tower brace.

You could probably just use some nice paint and they'd look good. I mean considering where they're located they don't need to look perfect. Yeah I'd definately PC the STB.
