LTCC with MBA Brackets

LTCC with MBA Brackets
I must admit, the brackets look good. My only gripes are the clearance between the #5 and 7 coils and the cowl, and the fact that the fuel lines are now a royal bitch to connect/disconnect. Now I just need some new valve covers and I'll be set.

Re: LTCC with MBA Brackets
I like the plates that are like rail covers on your setup. Here are the ones that Sun Spec Billet Factory made for me; they do not restrict use or access to anything on the engine. I now have a new set with integrated wire looms that are really nice. http://www.aldersgarage.20m.com/images/drvcfarltcc.jpg
I only posted this so people that are looking for different options can see what all is out there.

Re: LTCC with MBA Brackets
Yeah, now that I've installed the MBA brackets I wouldn't use them again on an F body. Corvette or Impalla or a custom build definately. Don't get me wrong, they look nice and the quality is great, but they are a pain to install with the cowl so close to the engine. I talked to Richie about a set of those and I nearly choked when he told me they were $100 a side, I only paid a little more for the MBA covers and they kinda clean everything up.

Re: LTCC with MBA Brackets
The difference is the pieces Richie makes are CNC'd out of aluminum. The other ones I have seen are just thin aluminum that anyone could make with a metal brake.
So you are saying that your setup cost more than the ones from SSBF?? Also, you may have not realized but the ones from Richie also come with plug wire looms that are pretty bad ***. If you want I can take some pics of the new ones I am putting on my new engine.
Do you know what they charge for just the aluminum rail covers? I may be interested in a set of those if they are reasonable.

I'd also be interested in pics of the new ones when you get a chance.

Re: LTCC with MBA Brackets
These covers definately aren't thin, and it wouldn't be easy to make them with a sheet metal break. They are good n thick, no bending or flexing to them. Also they are contoured to fit around the MAP sensor as well as the TB and the fuel pressure regulator/lines, though like I said, the CNP bracket gets in the way of the fuel lines a bit. For just the fuel rail covers, I believe they were around $155 plus change which is a deal for aluminum fuel rail covers. The CNP brackets were extra.
