Question LT1 eratic idle and surge problem, power lose upon acceleration

My LT1 engine just started having an irratic idle problem. Also loss of power upon acceleration. This is a 1993 Formula Firebird with 105,000 miles on it. I know that the Camaro and Firebirds have the LT1 engines. and am looking for help with this problem. Any suggestions on what might be causing this would be greatly appreciated.

The first thing to do is a tune up. Change the plugs and wires, the PCV valve, the air filter and the fuel filter. Clean the TB using a 'coated blade safe' TB cleaner. If that doesn't solve it look for a manifold oil leak either at the mating surface with the block or between the throttle body and the manifold.

Have the car scanned and see if there are any codes that are present but don't set a check engine light.

If that doesn't solve it come back and ask again and we'll try to help.

Good luck!
