Just put on new water pump and temp gauge acting screwy?
I just put on a new water pump and the temp gauge goes up about half way then comes down. I also replaced the temp cooling senser on the water pump. My fan stoped kicking on so I wired them to come on with the key switch.
Should I replace the temp cooling selaniod? I also checked my 160 degree stat it's good. Any info you can give me will help.. Thanks

The sensor in the pump is for the PCM temp reading http://shbox.com/1/temp_sensor1.jpg , the reading for the dash gauge comes from the sender that is on the drivers side of the enginge towards the front. http://shbox.com/1/temp_sensor2.jpg
My gauge has been acting funny for about a year, it will read the temp then drop to 0, then sometimes come back.....but totally random.
