If Knock sensor has been disabled, do I need LT4 module?

I'm not sure if the PCM needs a module in place if the KS is disabled. My question is why on earth you would disable the KS??? That is insane...

Yep, false knock. Mine was discovered on the dyno, and removed on same said dyno. You guys act like it is a catch all, and everyone uses them. Remember, they are not on a Mustang, and they seem to run just fine

I was just going to replace the LT4 module with the original LT1 one if it doesn't need the LT4 one anymore. I was getting false knock ever since I installed the Hydra Rev for some reason. Madz reprogrammed my computer and disabled the knock.

Not sure about physically removing it, my understanding is they can tune the PCMs Knock Module to pull ZERO timing out. I would think physically removing it would throw a code, not sure though.

If it is physically removed it will throw a code and set you in limp home mode.
I have mine in place with an LT4 kM, and a seperate defeat circuit, that way when tuning I can turn it on to see the knock.

Knock sensors are there for the cheap bastards that put 87 in the tank. Unless your engine is majorly ****** or your tune is way off there is no need for one. As stated previously, Mustangs don't use them, and if they did I can guarantee you their owners would be bypassing them too if they were getting false knock like many of us LT-1 guys and gals are. I'll gladly trade a tiny, infinitessimal piece of mind for the ten degrees of timing that thing was stealing from me.
