I've pulled the water pump off and now getting ready to put it all back together. I was wondering if I could leave the air pump and bracket off? It looks like everything else can be put back together without reinstalling the air pump and the "pain in the @*%" bracket.

Thats cool. Is there some instructions posted somewhere? I wanna make sure I do it the right way. Can I leave the bracket on that side off and just attach the coil to the head?

If you are still running cats on your car then you cant remove the AIR pump. Over time not having it on there will clog up the cat with unconverted exhaust.

It shouldnt die that quickly. My air pump was bad for probably close to a year before i had any problems that were noticeable. If you want to be safe then hold off, having the water pump off doesnt necessarly make it easier to remove the air pump. However, i wouldnt worry about the cat cloggin in a month, you will notice when it does because you will have no power and your manifolds will be glowing red.
