Alternator amps question and will this one work?

http://www.jcwhitney.com/autoparts/P...odelId-1001122

Ok, is higher amps always better? I am keeping all components like the A/C etc. I have a sound system with a 300 watt amp. The money is not really an object here. But I want to get the right one, and will these alternators fit my 94 Z directly or will I have to make somekind of modification? Will I have to do anything else. It states that it is only 1 wire. Eventually I will have things like LT headers, cam kit, supercharger...etc. Don't know if that has to do anything with it or not. My stereo system by the way, will stay the same.

Will a 100 amp do? Or the 140?

Thanks in advance

Fits all vehicles with OE 40- to 65-amp GM alternator without modifications.
That's not for your car, but older GM cars. Yours comes stock with 140 amp of a different and way better design.
