Windshield Wipers

This is really weird. My windshield wipers all of the sudden stopped working correctly. It rained really hard one night, and the next day I go out to my car and turn it on, and my windshield wipers just start going nuts. They will only switch between low and high now, but will not go off or to any of the intervals. I don't know what happened, and I am trying to search through the responses, but does anyone know if this sounds like a motor problem or a switch problem?
Thanks,
Chris

Sounds like the switch. If the motor was bad they would not work or run slow.

how does the switch feel? if it feels loose or stickey its probably the switch. not really shure what else it could be i would need to look at a diagram.
