How bad will my car handle and accelerate?
While still in college ive been continuely modding my car within my budget. My goal is to have an overall bad *** car. I want it to handle, stop, corner, and accelrate as well has have a good top speed...... while not making it way to loud or uncomfortable. Oh yeah... and look damn good doing all this.
Right now i have her up in the air putting on some shocks, dual piston brakes yada yada...
Anyways im very curious of what to expect. So can anyone give me #'s or comparisons to give me an idea of what she'll feel like.
LS1 dual piston brakes, oem rotors, Napa's Performance Ceramic pad (only heard great things about them), Steel braided lines, stock rear brakes. Got a friend with a few camaros and he claims his 94 z28 with the napa pads single pistons will stop better than his 98 with dual pistons on OEM pads.
Suspension and Tires- 275/40/17's with RE730's on front and Nitto Drag radials on the back, poly Tubular LCAs, poly pan hard rod, 32mm front sway bar, stock 21mm rear swaybar, weldin tubular subframe connectors, strut tower brace, Bilstein HD Shocks, stock springs.
Car also has 318wrhp and 327 wr torque. mail order tune.
The only mods I have left to do to the car are Hooker LT's, 3in Y pipe, 52mm Throttle body, and electric pump. Besides heads, of forced induction. Ive done everything else. which i'll be doing after the suspension, tranny, and brake project.
So anybody with similar setups, info, comparisons in handling/stopping before and after or comparing it to other cars youve raced or been in please feel free to comment.
How much Hp do you think i can get out of this stock head set up... Basically the best of the exhaust, intake, cc305, 1.6rr, everything....

tame and powerful-
ported heads, tame blower cam and blower seem to be the only way to go with THE BEST TUNING YOU CAN FIND
8psi, heads and a blower cam will work wonders for you
The DMS "package" seems very popular, and from what i hear, they are great. you should be able to handle very well while giving up a minimal launch.
A set of nittos in the rear and some street tires up front will help out too.
4.10s in a manual are great
May sound stupid- but my carbeau seats were a great mod.
I wouldn't slide all over the place when taking a turn and i dropped 30lbs out of the front/middle of the car.

sorry guys i wasnt clear.
Right now the car has- SLP 1 3/4 primary headers, stock y pipe, borla 3inch cat back, morosso cold air, descreened maf with 75mm ends, tpis airfoil, cc305 comp cam, 1.6 roller rockers, 1LE driveshaft, underdrive pulley, tb bypass, mail order tune... thats bout it for the HP and torque mods.. With these the car did 318 hpand 327trq
I have all the suspension parts on the car now except for the 32mm sway bar and the Bilstein HD shocks.
And the LS1 brakes I listed
basically im asking about these items.
I already have the drag radials on the back.. I dont want to go 4.10's because i might get a power adder.
AFter that I plan to do some hooker long tubes with a 3inch y pipe and have the car dyno tuned.
The 52mm tb and electric pump would come if i have the money.
Im curious of how well the car will handle and stop and what i could compare it too? I wonder what kind of slalom and skip pad numbers i could pull off... etc.
