!HELP ME! Only take a sec LT1 know-it-alls! blown head gasket?! w/ GOOD Compression?!
Hey guys 4 weeks ago sister drove car started to smoke a bit then going up a hill lots of smoke. Now car wont start I try to start it spray gas in the intake get it strugles to run with LOTS of white smoke out exhast and TB! Thought it was a bad head gasket so I did a compression test all cylinders 120-150 lbs. Any ideas why smoke and no start? Could I have a busted head gasket with good compression? Is there a sesnor I need to check (new TB sensor, O2 sensor, and egr sensor/valve) HELP!!!!!

Could be that it only really leaks when under load. In that case it could be tough to tell with just a comp check. Leakdown might work better.
What about the coolant? Does it foam up?
What about the oil? Any signs of coolant in there?
You could also have a shop run an exhaust gas analysis.
If it's "white" smoke out the exhaust and the intake, then you definitely have a coolant leak going on and you'll need to pull the head(s) to correct the problem.

I've checked the oil and i have found it to be milky but my uncle an older and wiser motor-head says that the oil didn't look contaminated to him. Any tips on pulling the heads to make the job easier?

And yes, it is possible to have decent compression with a crack or some from of leakage that only really occurs when the engine is under load and/or at operating temperatures.
