HELP...ASAP RR Adjusting on a SR

what is the best way to adjust rocker arms on a soild roller motor? I have a 383 solid roller with Llyod elliot heads and 1.6 RR. Can I adjust the rockers while the car is running? If NOT please tell me how to do it. I have NO clue if it is any different from a hydrolic roller.

Thanks
Matt

It's a ton different. Keep a feeler gauge handy.

Yep, the cam/lifters should have come with specs to tighten to.

Lillbush,

What kind/size cam did you end up going with?
What kind of parts did you go with in your bottom end? Those look like stock rods?
Did you have someone else do some work on your LE heads?

How soon are you going to get some numbers from that new combo?
Is that car your daily driver?

Just curious, I'm finishing up a solid roller 383 right now?

I wish adjusting with hydraulic lifters were as exact as adjusting with solid lifters.

It is a comp cams custom ground with just 0ver 600 lift on it Bottom end is a nodular iron 400 crank shot pined rods and forged pistions, Yes someone else worked on my heads after Llyod But Lloyd did a awsome job to begin with. I iwll get some numbers here soon there is a shootout this sunday but I am not running (dont feal the car is ready yet) No it isnt my daily driver I have another car. I am getting it tuned here tom from a buddy of mine (marcin) I will let you know how it goes.
