The chrome on those BBK's will discolor and look like garbage in a hurry. If you could find them without chrome, that'd be a bit better. Save up some more $$ and have them ceramic coated by a place like Jet Hot or Paul Barry.

Another option to consider, given the $$ situation, is Jet Hot headers. Yep, they're long tube, but they often have deals where they'll break up the price into 3 payments. You can even get them with the emissions stuff set up if you're keeping it.

If that option isn't your cup of tea, be patient and look for something to show in the for sale section, keep an eye on eBay, etc. Something will eventually turn up. You may even come up with a set of MAC headers. Those are pretty decent, not too expensive. Folks who've got them are usually pretty happy with 'em.

Thank you very much! I'll try to wait for the right deal. Like you said, I'm sure they'll turn up.

With headers, intake, and exaust you should be pretty good with HP, but you wont really know where you will be till you dyno or run at the track. Dont go wasting money on mods just because they are cheaper though, i would wait till you have more money and can buy better products. youll kick yourself in the *** later because you wish you would of saved your money for something better. you will want to get those headers ceramic coated too which will run you like another $200+...so just wait till you have more money and get the LT's

since we're on the topic anyway, what kind of longevity non-stainless headers have (preferrably mac headers) have? also, if anyone has a set of mac headers for sale let me know, that'd be great. thanks

non coated headers will rust, run alot hotter which isnt good, and since they can rust, they can get holes in them....

He double posted this on two forums, always a mistake. Let's keep all the discussion in the thread linked below:
