general pushrod question

I just wanted to know how many of you have pushrods that are NOT either 7.20" or 7.15". I only want to know this because mine are too long and it seems the only other size you can buy are 7.15". Thanks

(let the ***** jokes fly...)

I don't know the answer to your question but what does that beast run if you don't mind me asking?

I haven't taken her to the track yet cause my pushrod length is currently incorrect and my dumb *** has had a pushrod length checker THE WHOLE TIME I was doing these mods and I didn't measure, I just assumed it would require stock length pushrods. boy was I wrong. I believe I need 7.15" ones, but I just wanted to see if ANYONE out there was running any other length other than 7.2" or 7.15" so I can see if the 7.15" will suffice without measuring. No website even sells any other length besides those two measurements. I will have track times once I get the right pushrods and my 9 degrees of knock tuned out. I'm gonna buy a laptop and LT1 edit the knock out (not that madwolf's tune was bad, it just needs tweaking) and I would like some 4.10's for my rear, but I'm scared I won't install them correctly. I'm not paying a shop to install those....

P.S. nice mods, how do you like the hydra rev kit?

Re: general pushrod question

You need to measure. Then get a hold of Manton Pushrods for the proper length. Great product and great service. www.mantonpushrods.com/

Re: general pushrod question

Thanks! It seems to be working well so far. As for the hydra-rev, I don't know if it's helping or not because I installed it when I installed the cam. I can tell you this, it pulls all the way up to the 6400 rev limit. It seems to me that 224 duration isn't very much and I'm amazed that it maintains power to that level. Maybe the hydra-rev has something to do with it. I just remember seeing an article awhile back where hp started to fall off with hydraulic rollers because of their mass. The hydra-rev helped to keep the lifters controlled at higher rpms without destructive spring pressures. It's kind of a pain to install with the heads on but it can be done in about 2 hrs. I got the thing for free so I figured what the heck - I could use the insurance.
