Re: fuel charcoal canister leaking?
The 93 manual shows only 2 hoses/pipes. But this Nalley GM diagram shows 3 hoses/pipes. One seems to be just a vent line going to a place behind the gas tank near the tank vent valve. The diagram covers all F-cars including Firebird

It's conceivable that mine got lost when the fuel tank was pulled out to install the sump for the second pump. Point is, the center connector does not connect to anything on the other end.

ok great i seen that the middle conncetor didnt connect to anything and now the valve next to the canister should i replace it or should i just replace the hoses and is there a hose clamp needed for the 1hose that runs to the valve

Re: fuel charcoal canister leaking?
I have never seen a recommended replacement time or mileage interval. I doubt anyone does it unless there is evidence of the carbon breaking down and entering the line and purge solenoid, or if the canister becomes saturated with fuel.
I have never seen anyone replace that valve. You could test it - there is a test procedure on page 6E3-C3-2 of the 94 factory manual (Volume 2 of 2).

Re: fuel charcoal canister leaking?
GM publishes a "factory" manual for the dealer mechanics (it's actually published by Helm, and anyone can buy one for well over $100). It contains far more vehicle specific information than a Haynes or a Chiltons. I can give you a link to a site with a free download, courtesy of GaryDoug.

Re: fuel charcoal canister leaking?
that would be great bc this is my first f-body and I'm not to familiar with some things like this opti spark ignition (it's kinda weird) ... now to the canister the bracket it just unclamps or do I have to remove the the bracket also ?

See the "tab" on the clamp at the bottom of the photo.... you pull outward on the tab, releasing the teeth that are visible up against the canister.
