Flexpate
Gentlemen, I have to replace my flexpate on my 94 lt1. Motor is completely
stock. Not sure what type of flexplate to use. Also want to replace rear main
seal while I am back there. Does the oil pan have to be removed for the seal?

Re: Flexpate
you want to run a weighted flex plate vs a neutral aka "zero" balanced flexplate. There will be a small weight tack welded to the flexplate. Basically a stock replacement flex plate.
no need to remove oil pan to replace rear main seal. I use the rubber felPro seal vs the Teflon one

Re: Flexpate
for example
TCI 399173: SFI-Approved Flexplate Small Block Chevy LT1 | JEGS
note the welded weight on it. you need "external" balance flexplate
