Dumb question but I'm asking anyways

The other day I noticed my serpentine belt is pretty much shot..
So I took wife's car and ran up to orielly's and grabbed a belt. Well it's too long. So I took old one with me and they said it didn't come off my car or it was routed wrong???
I think I went to every store that sells belts and after a long day of running around I ended up with a 59 1/4 gates belt..

I have had my whole front end off and never noticed aftermarket underdrives so how is my car such a pita??

Everything is still on car so I had to ask

59 1/4" is too short. The correct length replacement is K06-13/16" x 64-3/4".

Measure the diameter of your crank and alternator pulleys. That will tell you if anyone put underdrive pulleys on. Do you still have the A/C compressor? There are some Chinese A/C delete pulley's that may screw up the belt length.

Well it's routed correctly. A/c compressor is still there and alt was just replaced a week ago under warranty and pulley matched the old one...

So I guess I do have an underdrive crank pulley from what I looked up about 59 1/4 sized belt from other sites.??

I'm the 3rd owner and the prior owner only said motor was supposedly overhauled at 170k and new opti was installed.. I took it as he said it just to pump up the sale 7 yrs ago lol
