Do they make any kind of noticeable difference or not?

In theory it should, but I don't think it will make a noticable improvement for $40. I didn't notice any difference with mine.
The dyno may say a 5hp and 5 lbs tq, but that is, more than likely, do to dyno error, or different weather conditions when each dyno was done.

Yes, air foils work. No, you will not feel any noticeable difference.

My car whistles now with mine in there.

I took one from an L98 which has the airfoil going halfway into the intake elbow.

I ground down the edges and mated it upto the LT1.

My IAC counts changed at idle. That was about it. Mind you I'm not gonna notice a 4-6hp gain either.

I didn't think so, I know the holley 58mm has one built in, that is why it cost way more...
