I have found some around the internet for much cheaper then the kit they sell charges for them. Just wondering if there was anything bad about doing it this way. The ones I have found look the same, and are for the Northstar V8's.

I don't know if there are any differences between their coils and what you might find on the net, but I bought mine off ebay and they work just fine.

WHere are you getting the Northstar ignition module? I consittered the basic kit, but the ignition module is over $250. The full kit is less than $300 more, for me it was easier to get the full kit and avoid the hassell.

Yes the coils are the same every other dual post coil used with every distributorless ignition GM has built since the late 80s.

I got my coils and the module for $135 shipped off ebay. Just look around a little. The guy I bought mine from had at least 6 others on there.

They're list all the time on ebay for $140 shipped. That's the best deal I've found; and where I'll be getting my module from.
