Code P1133

Code P1133
My car has been throwing this code a few min after I started it up. There is no exhaust leak that I can hear so Im guessing its the O2 sensor. Would this be every ones general thought? If so which brand should I replace it with? Im not even sure if it came with delphi or ac delco. Thoughts and opinions appreciated. Thanks

Re: Code P1133
The code sets because the bank 1 pre-cat sensor is responding too slowly to the intentional switches the PCM makes between rich and lean. Nothing to do with a leak. Most likely, it's the sensor.

Re: Code P1133
Thanks Fred. Is there a difference between Delphi and Delco parts? Also if not those which O2 would you recommend. Sad this failed with a 66k mile car lol
Also why does it only throw it first thing when the car is started? If I clear it I can drive around the rest of the day and it never set.

Re: Code P1133
Delphi was a spin-off from GM. There was a thread recently that identified the source of the current GM AC Delco sensors and the Delphi sensors. They are not the same. But I have seen no problems with anyone who used the Delphi parts. I had assumed they were basically the same part, until the recent post that indicated (if I recall correctly) that GM outsources and Delphi makes their own.

reviving the dead, but I have the same code. Just popped up yesterday, I reset it yesterday and going to see if it comes back. There are brand new O2 sensors on there though. Less than 300 miles... If it doesn't come back I should be ok right?
If it does, any suggestions?
Thanks,
Cory
