My 96 SS A4 is doing the EXACT thing Cmr0Z28's is doing...I've replaced my driver's side 02 sensor three times...i have stock manifolds and gutted cats...i'm trying to find an ungutted y-pipe to fix this

i unplug the drivers side 02 sensor..and it runs like a champ...BTW will this hurt the car?

No, it won't hurt the car, it will just run rich and your gas mileage will be bad.
