Re: block and crank from bad machine shop

I would think the block is salvageable. There is always a risk of hitting water on these blocks clearancing for strokers. 3.75 stroke is less common however usually its the longer strokes guys run into problems with.

People dedicating a motor for track duty or light road duty would partially fill the block and be done with it.

You couldn't pay me to use the crank though, eagle cast cranks, especially the older ones had quality issues as it was. they're weaker than the stock crank as well. That and they cracked it. Its a paper weight in my opinion.

Yeah, I have seen this for sale for quite some time and finally made this post about it. I was thinking the same about the block being savable.

Maybe2fast, you have me a bit confused about this block? Is this your block that you are looking to sell, or someone else's block? Is this block located in the metro Detroit area, or somewhere else? Finally, if this is your block, do you know if its been decked, and what its been decked too?

TIA for any additional info.
