Yeah, I am kind of leaning towards keeping this thing stock and buying something already modded as a project car. This is, afterall, my daily driver, and has served me well over the past 3 years. No since in ****ing with it and creating problems.
Now if I could just find a decent M6 LT1 with some mods for a fair price to start tinkering with.....
Im probably still going to add headers to it, just because its not loud enough for me

I would say go a different route: suspension. Get some lower control arms, subframes, relocation brackets. Thats what I went with and it made a big difference in getting the power down and hooking up. You can get some great deals on suspension stuff.

The difference between the 3-series carrier and the 2-series carrier is because the width of the gears- although they make a special 3-series ring gear that will fit on the 2-series carrier so you can just buy the ring and pinion, plus an install kit- still pretty pricey by the time you pay a shop to set up the rear- easier to just swap the axle out of a 6-speed car, if you can find one- make sure it has the same ABS you do- 3 channel for no traction control, or 4-channel if you have traction control-

Also remember V6 cars had 3.42 and posi as well. I got used 4.10 gears (from an s-10) at the junkyard and an extra posi from a V6 firebird(it had a 3.42s as well) for like 100 bucks. Install was price of gear oil and a new crush sleeve.

Pacesetters are definitely an improvement over stock and they sound great. However, they don't have equal length primaries, and that's better for torque across the board, and most people agree that it sounds even better.

I've got less than $1k in my turbo kit....
Picked up 250hp and about 400 ftlb
I would go through 3-4 sets of bare pacesetters before ever thinking of paying those ungodly prices for kooks.
