really? even if I dont have my heads milled? I also stil have stock valves and Felpro gaskets, nothing that would require a shorter pushrod...?

Decent sized cam + Big rockers = shorter pushrod

Just the way the geometry with the higher ratio rockers and a cam works out. I needed a .05 shorter pushrod with 1.6s, 1.7s would be even more pronouced of a difference

You should always check.

Just because something is a "bolt on" doesn't mean everything is going to work out just right. Not a slap to you dmoor, just that this comes up quite often around here.

So, check the geometry. If you don't know how, do a search on Google. At the very least buy the little plastic rocker-arm looking checker to see where you're at.

I was actually considering running these RR's with this exact cam as well. Any ideas of what the lift would be on that cam with 1.7's?

lets just say the .600" lift springs would be pushing it

Re: anyone running 1.7 rockers with 227/233 cam?

thats what im saying. some may say "go with a bigger lift cam" I just want to push the smaller lift cams with larger rockers. someone on ls1tech had the exact same cam with 1.7 rockers on the exhaust side only...

They say that cam pulls hard already and with more lift and a 150 shot, I could do scary things
