Aeromotive FPR leaking from GOLD SCREW? in the back

Hi. I have an aeromotive fpr on my 96 lt1. I'm 99% positive its leaking from the screw in the back... I was feelin around and it was loose; so I finger tightened it as much as I could and that cutdown on the the gas leaking. It feels like it has a hole for an allen wrench. I assume I need to tighten it more to stop the leak alltogather. Thanks!

I'm assuming you mean the brass "plug" in the body of the regulator, and not the big silver pressure adjusting screw. The plug should be closing off a port that can be used for a pressure gauge. It needs to be tightened to seal the port. You could use teflon sealing paste.

The Aeromotive LT1 regulators are well known for leaking diaphragms, but this sounds a bit different.

Yes thank you... I put the Teflon goop on and put it back in and tightened it. It was the plug not the ad screw. It must have vibrated out; engine build has only 350 or so miles.

Just be careful with the Aeromotive AFPR. They are simply not reliable, at least not the one for the LT1.
