94 z28 stock 0-60 ??

shes a automatic as well i was doing some reading and seen some say 5.5 think factory said 5.7 i did some ehh so so pulls today got 6.5 then 6.2 shes bone bone stock with 146k miles is this bad? i didn't get on her to much but enough to get 6.2 0-60, also can i get 4 flat out of bolt ons really all i want to is cia,tb 52mm bbk, full exhaust, tune < also i was looking at trick flow lt1 elbow its aluminum wouldn't that heat up vs rubber, also on the tune seen 1994 z28 hypertech tuner< think it was 400 is that better or a mail order tune also on mail order whats best sites or sellers and on that mail order tune should i wait to do cia, full exhaust,tb 52mm, and then get the tune last or does it matter and one more thing pretty sure got 3.23 gears would 4.10 be to much for stock tranny and rear end

Re: 94 z28 stock 0-60 ??

I would do a search with the Firehawk web page. With the Cold air mod(Kand N here)not the lid,cat back, stock 48mm tb these did 4.7 sec. to 60mi per hour.It was an SLP conversion and I think the gears were 323's.You could buy these from the Pontiac dealer like that. The aluminum intake is 20 degrees hotter than the rubber elbow. If you do the coolant bypass it's dyno proven 6hp,but I think the aluminum intake will negate this. What I did to my car is in my sig.I'm still hunting for a 3inch y-pipe from a 97 f-body at the auto wrecking yards,as I can't buy one legally here in California. After I do this I will make a run or two and hope I break into the low 13's.My02.Hope this helps.

If you can get a high flow cat that's good for another 5-10 hp.Californians can't.

Re: 94 z28 stock 0-60 ??

Injuneer suggested to me a while back for a mail order tune to go to PCM ofNC for custom tuning.I'm waiting till I get done what I want done first before I get the tune.I think if you get the tune first before the mods you will have get another tune.PCMofNC asks questions about your set-up and I like that. That way everything is dialed in correctly.I could be wrong though.Hope this helps.

Re: 94 z28 stock 0-60 ??

I am not sure if PCMofNC still tunes LT1 (could be wrong) I know Madz28 is not anymore (my tune). I would ask the question to the tuner, but at least an intake would help with the tune. After that...the tune will need to be adjusted for gears, engine internals, but not for basic boltons.

K&N intake is popular (I had one)
The 1LE elbow is a stock looking elbow with no silencer
I would look for an aluminum elbow (there is an elbow and air foil kit on Ebay)

after the tune and intake, start working on the exhaust (catback and headers)

Good luck, and please start re-reading your posts before posting them. I have to read them 3 times to understand your question due to lack of punctuation.

I did some shopping for you. Some of these things can be had for cheaper or used, but if I had to do it again I would get the stainless headers over the coated Pacesetters that I have. I put a Loudmouth on the links below, but I have a Magnaflow and wouldnt trade it for anything.

PCMofNC only tunes the "chip" LT1's (1993).

Solomon provides mail order tunes, among other services for a few F-Body generations.

Re: 94 z28 stock 0-60 ??

I just posted an elbow that was cheaper than that with an airfoil (bolt on). 4 sec is a stretch! that's C7 territory. TB is not needed yet(+500hp) save your money for some headers.

What is the status on the spark plugs and wires?
