Is a cold air intake worth the money? If so what brand do y'all recommend?

Re: 93 lt1 z28

You can often find used CAI units available on our Marketplace "Parts For Sale" forum for reasonable prices. Look for K&N, Moroso, Callaway, Lingenfelter, SLP brands. Avoid the ebay cheapies that do not move the filter out of the engine compartment. Plastic ducting is probably better than thin gauge steel or aluminum, to minimize heat pickup.

I'd say they are worth at least 10HP at the flywheel, maybe a bit more.

I've used K&N and Moroso on my previous LT1 cars. Nothing bad to say about either of them.
