I believe a .40 over bore with a 3.75 stroke would be 385 Cubic Inches.

Thx,
Claude

The longer rod will not effect Cubic Inches but will give more torque..You will still end up with 385 CI with a .040 overbore and a 3.75 inch crank.

Thx,
Claude

5.7\350 = x\385

Yep. Everything you need to know.
Sometimes using 61 cu.in. = 1 Liter is convenient.

Example: 4.04 * 4.04 * 8 * .7854 = 384.57 cu. in.

384.57 cu. in /61 = 6.30 L

just to clarify, by bore im' sure he means radius

area of circle times length or depth :0

4.04'' = diamter
2.2'' = radiuis

area = pi R^2

so 3.14 *2.02

multiply by stroke

so 3.14 *2.02 *3.75

multiply by number of clyinders

3.14 *2.02* 3.73 * 8

TADA!

I don't think so, .7854 is Pi/4.

Your formula is also correct though

woops, made the mistake of just spotting the bore *bore and assuming it meant radius ^2

I didn't realize you went through all the trouble of simplifying

I was never one for memorizing that stuff. i just memorize fundimentals and derive from there.

I cant believe the way people memorize trig identites

Sin^2 + cos^2 = 1 will get you them all; how people havn't noticed this is beyond me

How can Oldsstroker, miss the stroke. Your one number short!

Or, D^2 * h * N * .7854 = X cu. in. /61.024 = X liters

Are we having fun yet!!!
