12499224 LS6 Yellow Springs

Will the 12499224 GM LS6 "yellow" springs work on a LT1 in place of the 918 beehive springs? They are substantially cheaper. It looks like you could use them with the Comp Cams LT1 beehive retainer, but I can't be sure.

Anyone have these on a LT1?

should work fine,but they are only good too .550" lift

Sounds good, I'm running the CC305 with the LT4 1.6 roller rockers. Should have lift right around .544. SDPC lists the yellow springs as good for .588 lift but GM parts Direct lists the maximum lift as .550. I still think that I should be safe either way......

Yes and no, not as much pressure or lift potential as a 918. Belive me Lloyd and I have looked at using them for the LE1 package but that wasn't going to work.

Do you think that these springs will be fine with the CC305 and 1.6RRs?

Depends on how many good ones you get in a batch..... With 1.5's and them installed tight enough yes. There is not enough seated pressure if you set them up too high.
