1.6 Roller Rockers

I am thinking about purchasing 1.6 comp cams magnum self-aligning rollor tip rockers. I did a search but didn't find what I wanted. What kind of gains would i be likely to see with these with an otherwise stock motor.

Do i need to purchase anything else?

That's what i'm running and they are decent RR. (if you want to see what they look like just check the sign of the car) I've heard people say they kept the stock springs without have problem, but also with the extra lift from the RR the springs could bind up. I would go all out and change the spring as well. You can get a full set of LT4 spring under $50 from gmdirect.

Get promags. You will gain some power from the extra lift of the 1.6's but you would gain more power from the promags as they provide less friction.

Re: 1.6 Roller Rockers

I heard that the LT4 springs were weak, is that true? What power gains should i be seeing from a rocker change.

LT4's are fine for a stock cam, and are ok for the hot cam. Although i've heard of valvefloat on the hotcam with the LT4's. Anything more than a hotcam you will need better springs. My buddy knew what cam he wanted when he installed his roller rockers so he installed the valve springs for that cam and ran it with RR's until he was ready to do the cam.
