what to do what to do? LS1
I have a question, actually I'd like some advise. I recently purchased a 2000 LS1 Z28. It has the SS functional hood and Borla exhaust (not really a fan of). The car cosmetically is in good shape, but I'd like to upgrade it performance wise & keep it as somewhat of a daily driver. Any advise on upgrades? I have read up a bit on cam upgrades (maybe something not too aggressive?)but then again is the price of that really worth it? I'd greatly appreciate some input.
Several years ago I had an LT1 Z28 with nitrous running, which did not have a good ending, now that I'm older and more appreciative of F-bodys I'd like to "do it right" Thanks!

i have a old "ls1 dos & donts" article i could fax you. i wouldnt go over a tr224 cam for a daily driver, is your car an A4 or stk? my ls6 cam is not quite enough. if you have any wheelhop i would add SFC's sub frame connectors & lca's lower control arms. flip your air lid to see if its open & smooth or has plastic baffles that restrict air flow. im happy with the clearance of my jet hot headers (same as hooker). ps mods cost alot! goodluck! ps2 upgrade springs w new cam-very important!!!!!!

Depends on how much HP you want to add. Smaller easier and cheaper things to do would be adding a Lid or CAI, that' 4-9HP. A ported & polished throttle body, that's 3-6HP, or you can buy a larger throttle body, since yours is a 2000 LS1, it won't have the LS6 manifold intake. That alone will add 10HP and 10TQ, really adds to the upper end pull of the engine. Lastly headers can give you 20-30HP, with a good tune.
