P1153 code

P1153 code
My SES light came on over the weekend, so I went to AutoZone to have them check what was going on. Well, I the car pulled a P1153 code, in which the guys at this particular AutoZone didn't know which code went to what on the computer screen. I wrote down the two possibilities hoping someone here could help me out.
Lack of HO2S21 Switch Rich
or
Bank 2 Fuel Control Shifted Lean
Which description is it and should I do anything about it? It has something to do with th O2 sensor I am sure of that but how bad if at all? Thanks in advance!

Brian the only wires I tapped into were the purple ones, but that was a long while ago now, so I doubt thats the problem. I could definitely try cleaning them, but I am not very worried about it right now, because the SES light is out and the car is running jsut fine. Thanks for everyones input.
oh yeah! when I was at AutoZone the prices ranged from like $60ish to $79ish. that was aftermarket stuff too. but like i said for now i am gonna forget about it.

The O2 sensor, in normal operation, is supposed to switch been rich and lean conditions many times during a time period. The PCM monitors this switching every 100 seconds. A P1153 is set when the O2 sensor does not switch enough times.
Usually this code is triggered by an exhaust leak or a bad O2 sensor. And the O2 sensor goes bad either from age, fuel contamination, oil/coolant consumption, or some RTV sealant getting on them.
It could just be temporary. Watch for it. The code will clear after 40 ignition cycles if it is only temporary.
