Oil Change Light (?)

Oil Change Light (?)

I changed my oil about 2 weeks ago (The oil change light had ben going on before that).

I put royal purple in and the light still comes up? WTF! Is it a sensor or somethin? I completely drained it and filled her up.

Actually, I think on the newer cars they actually run some calculation to try and determine when your next oil change should be and hit the lights. I always wondered how they reset that when you DO change your oil. I own a 98, so I can't help much beyond the little info I just gave.

Look at the odometer in your dash. Does it say something about oil reset or something like that. If so, hold it down till the change oil light blinks off.

Look at the odometer in your dash. Does it say something about oil reset or something like that. If so, hold it down till the change oil light blinks off.
