In your opinion and/or research, which intake is better on a LS1, the LS6 intake or an aluminum edelbrock?

im happy with my ls6 intake. i only rev to 6k; if you planned to rev high rpms i would go with the fast 90/90 (you need a bigger throttle body for that) just my one cent.

Bang for the buck the LS6 wins and if you ever go bigger like a Fast 92 or 102 you will get your money back when you sell it.

You also should do the KS's OPSU and fix your PCV sytem while your at it.

The KS's OPSU? Is that an oil catch can to stop the oil being sucked through the PCV?

The Aluminum stuff will heat soak and hurt you in the long run. LS6 is the way to go.

The Knock Sensors(KS) are mounted under the manifold in the valley cover and while your in there you should put a couple new OEM ones in.

Some people change the harness out to, I just inspected it for cracks and bare wires and that the connectors are still good.

The Oil Pressure Sending Unit (OPSU) is behind the manifold on the block and is almost impossible to change without removing the manifold.

Again use an OEM one as the aftermarket ones are garbage.

i have cheap fast 78... only made 10whp/9wtq with filter removed on dyno before and after... so you can port the 78mm opening and either filter if you want. i've researched those who have a fast 78 port the opening to about 85MM and its just as good as a 90/92MM fast unported... so consider that in your expenses. not hard to take a dremel to the opening... i'm going to with intake installed... putting a rag inside intake and using a vacuum to get debris up... then find a cheap ported or 85 matching tb... that's what i'm gonna do this weekend and hopefully in near future will post gains...

that is true, but for porting, more material to port. aluminum dissipates heat so isn't as bad as ppl think. i went with a fast bc i found a 78mm for 400 shipped lol no brainer lol.
